I mix it with lemon juice and water the night before I use it. I wrap the bowl in a warm towel. I make sure it is thin as yogurt. That is the only thing I can think of lol. You don't want it thick. Just enough that it's not dripping all over. If you do this pancake stuff good luck getting that in your hair. I use a hair dye brush and brush it in my hair. I also massage it in the rest. I have hair to the tops of my thighs. I leave it in for 4-6 hours. I wash it out with cool water. It's like washing your colored clothing it will keep bleeding with hot water. I only condition it not shampoo the first time. It will also get deeper red overnight. I love it you will have low lights and highlights. All different kinds of reds gold, copper, and deep red. I started with dark brown hair this has been my experience. This is how I figured out to do it for myself. I don't know if it is right or wrong. I never do reviews. I have only used henna six times learning on my own what works best on more then 3ft of hair.
